Installation and verification

Back up your Java world and confirm the target Minecraft version in pack.mcmeta and README.
Place the zip in that world's datapacks folder. pack.mcmeta must be at the zip root.
Run /reload and /datapack list enabled with permission to use commands. Follow the pack's README for its start function and gameplay controls.

Back up a Bedrock world. Open the mcpack or mcaddon with Minecraft on a device that supports local pack imports.
Activate the imported behavior and resource packs on the same world when both are included.
Read README and manifest.json for the minimum engine version, script dependencies and controls. Test in a copy of the world; console file-import workflows vary.
