How to generate and install Minecraft mods

Choose a Minecraft edition and version, describe your creation, then follow the README included with your download. The installation steps depend on the file you receive.

Installation quick start

  • Java datapack (.zip): place the pack in your world's datapacks folder, then run /reload. Use the README for any start commands.
  • Bedrock add-on (.mcpack or .mcaddon): open the file in Minecraft, then activate its behavior and resource packs in your world settings.
  • Fabric source project: compile the project into a .jar first and use the matching Minecraft and loader versions. See the build instructions below.

Back up your world before installing a pack. Check the generated README for supported versions and any required settings.

Getting Started

Mine Mod AI turns a plain-English description into a working Minecraft creation you can download and drop into your world — mods, maps, minigames, custom items, texture packs and more. No coding, no API keys, and the output is built by deterministic engines. Check the download's README for installation requirements.

STEP 01

Describe it

Type what you want — e.g. "a glowing crystal dimension with an icy biome and a custom sword."

STEP 02

Forge it

The engine picks a category and builds your pack from templates. Review its edition, version and included instructions before installing.

STEP 03

Download & play

Grab the .zip (Java datapack) or .mcpack/.mcaddon (Bedrock) and load it in Minecraft.

There are two ways to create — see — and if you just want to see every generator with example prompts, browse the Makers directory.

New here? The fastest start is the AI Chat: type “a mod where logs drop diamonds”, press enter, download. Everything else builds on that.
